MOLDED STRAIN RELIEFS

Any well-designed power solution includes strain reliefs at both the plug and the connector. No matter how the product is constructed, you can count on the consumer twisting, bending or pulling on the cord rather than grasping the plug or connector. This repetitive bending or pulling of the cord can break the conductors and cause intermittent or failed operation. A properly designed strain relief should be made out of an appropriate durometer material and provide the wire a comfortable radius when bent at an angle and withstand pulling. SAFCO has designed a wide array of strain reliefs to be used in the custom configuration of your solution.
